How Anthem data breach may affect you

On January 29, 2015, Anthem, Inc. discovered that cyber attackers gained unauthorized access to Anthem’s IT system and obtained personal information of consumers possibly including: names, dates of birth, Social Security Numbers, health care ID numbers, home addresses, email addresses and employment information (not medical data).

Anthem indicates this may affect current and former customers over the past 10 years; therefore employees of NKU working here 2008 and prior may be affected. Current or former members of one of Anthem’s affiliated health plans should be watching for fraudulent activity.

Anthem is providing identity protection services to all individuals who are impacted. Go to their help site for more information: https://www.anthemfacts.com/.
